The telephone lines open from 8:30am to 12:30pm and from 1:30pm to 6:30pm each day (12:30pm to 1:30pm is for medical emergencies only).
The Administration and Secretarial offices are open from 8:30am to 12:30pm and from 1:30pm to 5:00pm each day.

Extended hours are available (for Bethesda patients only) on Friday morning from 7:00am to 8:00am, Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm to 7:30pm and Saturday mornings (variable hours, bookable on Fridays only). Please check with our Reception Team for further information.

We are now able to offer appointments (subject to availability) for evenings and weekends with our extended hours service. Please see the following weekly schedule:

• Tuedays 18:30 to 20:00 at Bethesda Medical Centre
• Wednesdays 18:30 to 20:00 at Bethesda Medical Centre
• Fridays 18:30 to 20:00 at Bethesda Medical Centre
• Saturdays 10:00 to 20:00 with the Acute Response Team at QEQM
• Sundays 10:00 to 20:00 with the Acute Response Team at QEQM

These appointments can only be booked by the Reception team at Bethesda Medical Centre during the standard opening hours. Please ask at Reception or call 01843 209300 for more information.

In a medical emergency when the surgery is closed (except for lunchtime) dial 111 and your call will be diverted to the NHS 111 Service.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency. 

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally. 

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

• Treat yourself at home
• Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
